One of my very favorite blogs, 100 Layer Cake, is giving away the chance to have your own custom colorboard created as long as you leave a note on today’s post with the deets about your wedding plans. If you’re engaged and planning your wedding, definitely enter – especially for me, since I’m already married and can’t try to win! Their inspiration color palettes are some of my favorites. Here are three that I’m currently swooning over…

Her written posts have been short, but the photographs alone do more justice… have you been watching SouleMama’s “postcards” she’s been leaving her loyal blog readers? They’re a wonderful way she’s been keeping in touch while her family stays on a farm. The experience looks heavenly to me and I’m sure the entire family of hers is loving every minute. Definitely go to her blog and scroll through to see the entire series so far.

I’ve been seeing these on Etsy, Flickr and multiple blogs for some time now, and I think if I have some down time after the holidays I might buy some fabric and use Once Wed’s tutorial to make my own flower garland… but one for my neckline, instead of my living room (after seeing this necklace).

This morning I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the breathtakingly beautiful photos of Sarah & Vincent’s wedding on 100 Layer Cake. I am in love with her floral headpiece (which was made from vintage paper flowers by A Little Vintage) as well as all the paper details (the invite, menu, favor bags, etc). The wedding was photographed by Charlotte Jenks Lewis; check out her portfolio here.

Saturday started out being so-so, stuck on the couch with a sniffly cold and watching endless DVR-ed episodes of Martha and Rick Steves (I bet that combination says a lot about me!) and watching the rain come down all afternoon, but that changed in the late evening. My husband went to bring the trash outside and came back exclaiming, “Snow! SNOW! It’s snowing!” I peeked out the window and sure enough, it was definitely snowing, even still falling when we went to bed. Sunday morning, I woke up early to this gorgeous sight: the first snowfall of the season.

Hope you got to see some snow or do something festive this past weekend that put you in the holiday spirit!

The multi-talented Jordan Ferney from Oh Happy Day! recently posted a great article on calligraphy for beginners on Project Wedding. After purchasing a nib and ink set myself and trying to write with them, realizing I really have NO IDEA what I’m doing, these tips will definitely be useful! Even some tips to make everyday handwriting a little more unique would be good to know.

Yes, I’m one of those geeks who’s head-over-heels for colored Japanese masking tape, and this would be the perfect way to dispense them! (Found via Oh Joy!)

I’ve had a list of things that I honestly really need (as well as a wishlist) for weeks now, and decided to wait until “Cyber Monday” since I kept hearing about how amazing the deals are. I didn’t see too many amazing deals, but lots of free shipping on several sites. I ordered several long sleeve cotton shirts (all of my current ones have multiple holes in them; I think it’s a case of cheap shirts wearing down over time rather than moths, since I can’t find any moth remnants or holes in other items) as well as some khakis from Old Navy (they were offering free shipping and 20% off). I have become rather practical over the years, but I can’t help but long for these items I came across:

- A very cute black dress that I probably have nothing to wear to…
(Kimchi Blue Lace Dress from Urban Outfitters)

- Gorgeous pj’s that I’m sure are amazing, but are simply way far out of my price range…
(Woodrose Flannel Pyjamas from Toast UK)

- The coat of my dreams… oh, how I’m lusting after this one!
(Elimovna Coat from Anthropologie)
