Paperwhites are some of my favorite spring bulbs, and there’s nothing better than in the dead of winter and having a pot of them inside. These would make such a lovely favor for a wedding or party. Bookmarking this post on frolic! for when I have some downtime and can plant them for a winter pick-me-up.

Currently drooling over all the details from 100 Layer Cake’s post on the wedding event Hitched. Designers, crafters, photographers and super-talented creative folk all in one place, putting together the best of the best of wedding details… Sounds like my dream! I’ll be glued to my daily blog reads waiting to see all the photos from the recent soiree!

Oh my goodness. Have you seen Nikole’s (from forty-sixth at grace) post on Once Wed about Wee Wedding Cakes? These are the loveliest little cakes that are sure to beat any cupcake tier with their style and panache (and I had a cupcake tier at my wedding, but I definitely would’ve loved to have these!). Love these very much!

Hope you’re enjoying the first true day of autumn. I’m looking forward to New England’s foliage season, apple cider, fireplaces in use, cozy sweaters, flannel pjs, scarves, hot soup and crusty bread, and lots of walks through the woods.
I’ll find you back here on Monday, as I’ll be attending a close friend’s wedding tomorrow. Enjoy your fall weekend!

There’s nothing better than a nice fire to keep you warm as the nights start to get chilly this fall, and this post from Amy Merrick’s blog and the photos of a giant stone fireplace are making me reconsider my wishing of a longer summer… A blanket, my husband, and a fire in the fireplace sound absolutely perfect for this weekend.

Aren’t these cut paper wedding invitations fantastic? Love the fresh color palette and the textures the papers give. Illustration & design by the bride, Amy Hardy.

Sometimes the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is make dinner. But there’s one meal I always have the energy to make and I instantly get excited for: tacos! We have our taco routine down-pat: my husband makes the meat and guacamole, and I chop lettuce and grate cheese. We mix hard and soft shells and always make turkey tacos, but this recipe I am definitely going to try. Hooray for taco night!
