I recently finished a letterpress project for my cousin and dear friend and I had such a great time working with her.  Caitlin and I first decided the color scheme for the wedding and then went onto designing her Save-the-Dates.  She’s getting married at a historical inn in New England and she really wanted a vintage feeling conveyed.  I found an old sleigh ride illustration and redrew it (complete with top hats for the men in the sleigh!) and matched it with a hand-drawn antique serif for the type.  We went with a colonial blue ink and envelope, and finished it with hand-cut oatmeal and cream liners.  I had such a nice time working on these, I can’t wait to start designing and printing Cait & Alex’s wedding invitations!

looks awesome. I love the colors. I made my sister’s wedding invitations (and while they were far from the letterpress loveliness that yours are) I had so much fun doing it.
