Indigo Bunting on 100 Layer Cake

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

I’ve been keeping up with all the guest blogging going on the past few weeks on 100 Layer Cake, and this recent post by Indigo Bunting definitely caught my eye.  She has such lovely work!  My favorites are the vintage “note passing” invite and the cupcake and science lab invite.  I’m excited to see more of her posts this week!

These watercolor bicycle wedding invitations from Bird and Banner are too cute for words!  I have quite a few bicycle-riding friends who would love these indeed.  (Found via Oh So Beautiful Paper)

Rifle Design’s Wedding Shoebox Palette

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Loving these fresh, super spring colors that make me think of sherbet and melon from Rifle Design’s The Wedding Shoebox Palette (found via their blog).  I’m totally falling for a pale mint green all over again.

Joo & Jacob’s Wedding

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Loving the photos from Joo & Jacob’s wedding over on Once Wed today.  The invites and printed materials are gorgeous and I love when people use hen & chicks in their floral displays.  Oh, and did I mention they had a stunning dessert table?

Unruly Things, Guest Blogger on 100 Layer Cake

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Have you been following Alyson from Unruly Things as she’s been guest blogging on 100 Layer Cake?  She’s been posting inspiration boards for her upcoming nuptials this summer, and they’re right up my alley.  Especially the invitation inspiration board… anything with calligraphy, ferns, and old etchings and I’m totally there.

Eunice and Daniel’s Wedding

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Oh. my. goodness.

I don’t even think I can fathom a more original, beautiful, more delicious wedding than that of Hello!Lucky’s Eunice and her husband, Daniel.  Going through their wedding’s slideshow on Martha Stewart (yes, their wedding is not only featured in MSW but is on the cover!), it was if my brain was going to explode from the overload of gorgeous ideas.  With every click to the next image, there was yet ANOTHER fabulous and well-designed wedding idea.  This was truly a designer’s wedding with every detail well thought out.  I love the fruity color palette, her ruffled dress, the backdrop of the ceremony… it’s all perfect to me.  I am totally in love with this wedding! (can you tell?)

More info on the wedding at the Hello!Lucky blog.  Eunice also blogged about the wedding on The Bride’s Guide here and here.  DIY Project how-to’s from the wedding were generously shared via here.

Twigs & Honey ~ Veil Alternatives

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Forever one of my favorite accessory makers of all time, Twigs & Honey always has THE most beautiful, handmade pieces.  These veil alternatives are so gorgeous.  How can I come up with a reason to purchase and wear these since I’m three years married?

They would look marvelous while I’m gardening…

Available in her Etsy shop.

Feathers and Flowers

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Hello Monday!  This week starts off with some major lusting from me over every single item from The English Dept. 2010 Bridal Show, but especially over all of the gorgeous handmade headpieces (via Twigs & Honey).  Why do I live during a time when these can’t be in regular fashion?  I truly know that I was born two centuries too late.  For the entire slideshow of the bridal show, click here.
