Mossière

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

I am swooning over this photoblog from Unruly Thing’s Alyson Graves.  Love the color palette and use of Gill Sans.  And I cannot get over that bathroom with the clawed foot tub and insect print.

Eunice and Daniel’s Wedding

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Oh. my. goodness.

I don’t even think I can fathom a more original, beautiful, more delicious wedding than that of Hello!Lucky’s Eunice and her husband, Daniel.  Going through their wedding’s slideshow on Martha Stewart (yes, their wedding is not only featured in MSW but is on the cover!), it was if my brain was going to explode from the overload of gorgeous ideas.  With every click to the next image, there was yet ANOTHER fabulous and well-designed wedding idea.  This was truly a designer’s wedding with every detail well thought out.  I love the fruity color palette, her ruffled dress, the backdrop of the ceremony… it’s all perfect to me.  I am totally in love with this wedding! (can you tell?)

More info on the wedding at the Hello!Lucky blog.  Eunice also blogged about the wedding on The Bride’s Guide here and here.  DIY Project how-to’s from the wedding were generously shared via here.

Twigs & Honey ~ Veil Alternatives

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Forever one of my favorite accessory makers of all time, Twigs & Honey always has THE most beautiful, handmade pieces.  These veil alternatives are so gorgeous.  How can I come up with a reason to purchase and wear these since I’m three years married?

They would look marvelous while I’m gardening…

Available in her Etsy shop.

Jenny Willardson

Beautiful, textured collage work from artist Jenny Willardson (found via Darling Dexter).  They remind me a lot of one of my favorite artists, Joseph Cornell.

Alice Melvin

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

While blog-hopping this past weekend, I came across the work of the Edinburgh-based illustrator Alice Melvin.  She has a lovely collection of “cut out and make” animals, and much of her work is inspired by screenprinting.  The collection of screenprinted birds called “Alice’s Aviary” are my favorite.

March Anthro Catalog

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Hooray!  What a glorious way to start Monday but with a new Anthropologie catalog to flip through (even if it’s online).  I love the plants, ferns, and fauna found throughout the catalog, especially the greenhouse section towards the end.

Studio Choo’s New Space

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Checking out the new space of Studio Choo (well, at least virtually) and love the open and airy feel of it.  I am such a big fan of their work, they certainly work wonders with flowers and plants.  It makes me wish I could have yet another career path, only as a florist (or even a gardener). Those flowers are making me very jealous of those who are already seeing their bulbs sprout in their garden!

For more photos of their new space, check out their Flickr.

Postcards and Pretties

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Always one for a good color palette, I checked out Postcards and Pretties for some great inspiration boards today.  Reminds me of Snippet & Ink’s boards.  Loving the San Francisco one!

Mechanical Paper Dolls

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I absolutely love these mechanical paper dolls by Oh My Cavalier!  Found in her big cartel store, but also check out her etsy shop as well.  I’ve been longing to own some of Julianna Swaney’s work for some time now, and these animals are quite lovely indeed.

Sweet, colorful, detailed and playful illustrations from Sweet William.  The teacup pieces are my favorite!
