I have some good news and some bad news.  The bad news first: my online shop will not be opening as planned this Monday, June 20th.  The good news, however, is that it will be opening on Wednesday, June 22nd!  I also have a little treat for you all as a thank you for your patience while I get all the details wrapped up… check back in on Monday for the details!

This past week has been quite the whirlwind and I’ve had a lot of things thrown in my way while finishing my printing, including the press breaking down on me twice and a few miscalculations from my paper ordering.  Thankfully I’ve been able to figure out ways around it, but more importantly have had the nicest friends helping me along: giving me advice and feedback, fixing the press (including making a replacement part – !! ) and talking me down from majorly freaking-out due to extreme stress, lack of sleep, and low blood sugar.  Best of all are all the “you can do it!” comments from family and best buds.  I feel very blessed, even if I am overwhelmed.

Besides news on my online shop, I wanted to invite all of you in the New England area to my fair this weekend, Union Made, in Somerville, Massachusetts.  I think we’re having a lovely, sunny weekend so it should be a fun time for all.  If you can’t be there, I promise to share lots of photos with you next week!

Here’s half of a letterpress occasions note card set I’ve been working on for Union Made and my shop.  Years ago when I was still learning about letterpress, this was the first product I wanted to create: a set of different occasion cards packaged in one box.  Life is so busy that sometimes you’ll forget to pick up a card for someone and hopefully by having this set around, you’ll never be out of luck.

Here’s another sneak peak at what I’ve been busily working on for Union Made on June 19th and my online shop’s launch on June 20th.  My “cuppa” print is one of four 8″x10″ letterpress prints (all illustrations hand-drawn by me; anyone that knows me knows that this fact alone is pretty special!) that are ready for framing and enjoying.

I’ve got some exciting news to share with you today: I will be in my first show!  My good friend Meagan and I will be sharing a booth at this summer’s Boston Bizarre Bazaar Union Made Craft Fair in Union Square (Somerville, MA) on June 19th from noon till 6 pm.  The next month should be absolutely nutty for me getting all my product printed and ready, but I’m ready for it.  It will also be a chance to see all the new things I’ve been busy making for my online paper goods shop, which will be launching the very next day on June 20th.  Hope if you’re in the Boston area that you’ll be able to make it.
