I just came home from a long, stressful day at work, and all I want are cookies… and we don’t have any store-bought on hand. However, I find baking to be very cathartic so I don’t mind getting a bit of flour on me right now. These peanut butter cookies from Smitten Kitchen should do the trick!

I really do wish we had a clothes line set up in our backyard. I have memories of my Nana’s house and her laundry out to hang (along with washed out ziplock bags – my Nana used her three R’s way before it was cool). Images shown belong to Stephanie Congdon Barnes via 3191 Miles Apart.

What a sweet, lovely wedding. These photos of Hannah & Archie’s wedding (found via frolic!) are making my heart melt today.

Adele from Dace threw an Alice in Wonderland “unbirthday” party for her daughter… and it looks like it was a big hit! Found via unruly things.

So many incredible food photography shots on Sprouted Kitchen, and lots of yummy recipes to boot. I’m in heaven this morning.

The foxglove that reseeded itself all through my front garden beds are now in full bloom. Tall stalks of bell shaped blooms (usually humming with honeybees) are making the front yard look like an english garden… I am in heaven.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for today. I haven’t been camping in two years, and I do think I haven’t had a night away with my husband in that long as well. We’re going into the Berkshires for a mini vacation surrounded by woods and wildlife. Unfortunately we waited until the last moment to reserve a campsite, so we’ll be staying at one of those family/RV-ish private campgrounds (apparently there’s all ages bingo Saturday night…) because all the national and state park campgrounds were booked solid. I don’t mind as long as we can get a site that’s a bit further away from all the hub-bub. I plan on reading, hiking, sunbathing, spending every minute with my husband and on Sunday I’ll be running a 5K race. To be able to run a 5K was one of my goals for the new year, and this one will actually be my second race so far. I’ve already started my 10K training and hope to run a 10K in the late summer. This race should be interesting as it will be out at Tanglewoods and the location is beautiful. Anywho, back to the camping… here’s a few images that have me very excited for the weekend…

I hope you have a lovely weekend, especially those of you celebrating Memorial Day here in the States!

I can’t help but miss the planning and designing of our wedding, and if I could wave a magic wand and do it all over again (without worrying about a budget) I’d want to get married outside on a farm. Dan & Emily’s wedding on the groom’s family farm in Virginia looks pretty much perfect to me!
