I’ve tried Elderflower jam and juice before, but I’d love to get a bunch of fresh, delicate elderflower to put in a vase. This photo from Pure Style Blog is simply gorgeous.

Hooray! I finally, finally got a chance (at long last) to sit down and make a few terrariums: one for myself and two for friends. One of my dear friends (thanks, Lori!) gave me several sedums and a tiny fawn for my birthday, specifically because she knew I’ve been meaning to put a terrarium together. On my to-do list now? Finding the perfect tiny plastic figure to make a thank you terrarium for my friend!

Yesterday my cousin and I finally made it to the beach. Hooray! It was really a perfect beach day (with the exception of a wild and very bold seagull knocking my sandwich literally out of my hands with his beak – ouch!). Felt super relaxed when I got home I stayed up late getting a lot of work done. So, based on my summer to-do’s, I have four more things to go!

Trying really hard to switch out of vacation mode and get back to work today. Just can’t shake Acadia from me yet.

Just a friendly reminder that I’ll be absent from this space all of next week, returning on Monday, August 15th. Headed north to Acadia for a week of camping, hiking, and relaxing! Yipee!

Hope you have a great week, everyone!

I am speechless over Amy Merrick’s new website. I have been in love with her blog writing for a while now, but I am head over heels for her new site. If you do one thing today and one thing only: spend 10 minutes with a good cup of tea, pouring over every detail. Swooning over the design, styling and photography. Congrats, Amy!

I cannot tell you how excited I am for next week… we’re going back to camp in Acadia! This time we’re bring my parents, hoping to make some good memories. Funny how this trip always seemed so far away, but all of the sudden it crept up on me.

Haven’t done too much gardening this summer, but I’m still taking time to enjoy the flowers. This week I noticed how beautiful everything was just after a thunderstorm, with rain drops glistening on every bloom.

This photo from Jordan was a gentle reminder that I have yet to have a picnic this summer. Makes me realize we’re already halfway through my favorite season and I should definitely come up with my “must-do” list before it’s September.

We’ve been sneaking away whenever possible and going for a swim at our local pond and it’s been like heaven on earth. Last night I was going to finish up some printing, but instead made a last minute decision to rush home, jump into my bathing suit, and fly to the pond for an early evening swim.
Probably one of the best decisions of the week.

What have you been doing to enjoy the summertime?
